Jon’s clients include PLCs, local authorities, owners of large property portfolios and SMEs. His clients particularly appreciate his clear and frank advice, his uncompromising negotiation style and his ability to settle complex disputes on favourable terms while minimising his clients’ exposure to legal fees.
Jon acted for the successful appellant in Alfa Laval v. Separator Spares  1 WLR 1110 (CA), in which the Court of Appeal developed the test for determining whether breach of confidence / copyright claims against former employees are ‘matters relating to individual contracts of employment’ under Articles 18(1) and 20 of the Brussels I Regulation.
Jon was made a Partner on 1 January 2020 and is supervised by Nicholas Goldreich.
