Diversity and Wellbeing

Diversity
Having respect for each other is one of our key values, and this is reflected in our diversity and inclusion policies, which cover everything from recruitment and selection to parental leave and flexible working. We constantly monitor diversity levels throughout the firm to ensure we are equal and open in our recruitment and career promotions.
We are committed to maintaining a working environment which provides equality of opportunity and freedom from unlawful discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, pregnancy and maternity, marital or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or beliefs, age or sexual orientation.
Wellbeing
We are sensitive to the wellbeing and mental health of our staff and understand that many lawyers within the profession are, in the words of the 2017 Stevenson Farmer Review of mental health and employers, ‘surviving but not thriving’.
We have trained Mental Health Officers within our Firm to assist in identifying any issues and we actively encourage and train our staff lawyers to be open about their mental health. We also encourage the use of specialist confidential and independent advice lines such as LawCare.

Flexible Working
We understand that the flexibility to work different patterns can have a positive impact on wellbeing and productivity.

Family Support
At our heart we are a firm founded on family values. We therefore strive for a positive family friendly approach and have maternity and paternity policies in place to help support this.
